Thank you so much for this (beautifully put!)

Hazel’s book has helped me realize so many things about myself, my friends, what good parenting really is, and why we have become such a narcissistic society. The opposite of love isn’t hate, it is fear! And the source of fear is that you are of some sort incomplete, not enough, unworthy, which is socially constructed. Imagine you were the only person on this planet: Would all this matter to you at all? So if you don’t have love in your life, it is because you let, as she says, your ‘guard’ drive your emotions. True freedom is without the anxiety about imperfection, so we should better accept that imperfection isn’t our personal problem — it is a natural part of existing.
